Feng Shui for Beginners - Basics of Chinese Metaphysics

Many people start learning Feng Shui from books.

Thanks to books on Feng Shui, we learn about it and become interested in this unique art.

We are beginning to understand that our ENVIRONMENT HAS AN INFLUENCE! That there is SOMETHING that influences our lives.

And there is good news - we can study this “something” and consciously implement it into life in order to change it for the better.

I also took my first steps in Feng Shui from books. I also arranged the figures in sectors - some worked, some didn’t. I wanted to study Feng Shui further, professionally. And I am very glad that wonderful teachers appeared in my life who taught me real classical Feng Shui, which is much more interesting and fascinating than we usually think.

Suddenly we remember that, indeed, when we moved, or our friends moved to another house, some events and changes happened in life. After rearranging the bed, the relationship with my husband changed or someone started doing renovations and he was immediately fired from his job, etc.

It doesn't matter whether we know Feng Shui or not, IT WORKS.

How does Feng Shui work?

This is not psychology - the influence of Feng Shui does not depend on our faith.

For example, if we don’t think about it or know about it, then Feng Shui will not influence us! No, it works anyway, whether you know about it or not.

Feng Shui is actually a very simple and logical art. The main thing is to understand its essence and principles, which is what we will do in the “Feng Shui for Beginners” course.

Each house contributes to one event or another! And this can be “read” by certain signs in the house.

In one house we thrive, in another we struggle to make ends meet. It is important not only to find money sectors, prosperous homes, but also to prevent negative events in life.

Any events that happen in life are reflected in the Feng Shui of housing! Events can be predicted using Feng Shui analysis at home! We can change our lives with the help of Feng Shui!

A Feng Shui analysis of a home can show:

  • who will prosper in the house,
  • how to attract new opportunities and money
  • causes of health problems,
  • how to avoid problems and improve health,
  • How will children learn?
  • reasons for family discord
  • when residents may be harmed and by whom,
  • what problems the family may face,
  • when there is a possibility of betrayal, money problems, etc.
  • whether he will help us or not, whether he will support us or not.
  • can we earn good money in our house.

The main goal of Feng Shui analysis is to customize the house for the person,

so that he supports him, helps him achieve his goals.

With the help of Feng Shui, we can solve our problems , improve our lives, and choose apartments that will contribute to our prosperity.

The house gives us energy support! And it doesn't matter whether you believe it or not.

Qi energy.

Our Universe is a huge organism in which everything down to the smallest detail is very closely interconnected with each other. Everything that exists in the material world, created by nature or man, including man himself, radiates its unique energy, influences each other and is in constant interaction.

But besides the material world, there is also an invisible world, intangible for the vast majority of us. This invisible world also affects us and the quality of our lives, regardless of whether we believe it or not.

In addition to the fact that we ourselves can influence the space around us, creating or destroying, sharing our personal energy with what surrounds us, in the same way the Universe can help us or hinder us from receiving all its benefits. It all depends on whether or not to play by its rules.

In Chinese metaphysics, the energy of the material and immaterial world is referred to by the term qi , which translates as “life force, spirit, breath, vitality . This energy can be positive or negative and have different qualities.

Our task is to protect ourselves from negative qi and attract positive qi to ourselves. (more details...)

Five elements. Wu-shin theory.

Everything in the world is energy. In addition to the qualities of Yin and Yang, any phenomenon or object in the surrounding world is a synthesis of the qualities of five elements in a certain proportion: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water .

These concepts are a theoretical comparative explanation of the essence of all energies and materials that make up everything that surrounds us. But these are not physical objects, although they have certain characteristics inherent in the named elements, it is rather a type of movement, vibration of different qualities.

According to the Bazi theory, a person is also influenced by five elements, determining his personal characteristics, fate, luck in certain periods of time, his health and even external characteristics.

There is a certain system of mutual influence of the elements on each other - U-sin . They can support each other, or they can destroy or weaken another element. (more details...)

Ways to revitalize energy sectors

The area you have chosen should be additionally illuminated for three hours a day (you can increase the duration of the session if you are striving for quick results). Not only the intensity, but also the color of the lighting matters. So, for the zone of love and family relationships, a red lamp is best suited. It is recommended to illuminate the area of money, career and travel with streams of green light. It is advisable to nourish the health sector with blue and violet rays.

Each fragrance has certain properties and qualities. This is a topic for a separate article. You can familiarize yourself in detail with their characteristics and choose the most effective scent for your case using specialized literature. Having made your choice, buy an incense stick or an aroma lamp with a set of essential oils. They should be placed for an hour in the area that you want to imbue with special energy.

Talismans and symbols play an important role in Feng Shui practices. They should be selected individually for each sector of the living space. Thus, you can optimize the energies of the northern zone with the help of the following talismans - a fountain, a metal horseshoe, Chinese coins tied with a red ribbon, fish and their three-legged frog sitting on coins, crystal figurines.

Crystals, a crystal globe, images of an owl, a lotus, a “wind chime” with eight tubes, Chinese gods, clay and plaster products are ideal talismans that should be placed in the zone of wisdom and knowledge, which, according to the “School of the Eight Aspirations of Feng Shui,” is located on northeast.

The following items will help to activate the health and family zone: living plants, landscapes, wooden crafts, jade eggs, dragon figurines.

For the zone of wealth and prosperity, located in the southeastern sector, the following talismans are recommended: a fountain, an amethyst crystal, Chinese gods of wealth (Hottei, Daikoku, the god of happiness and abundance, Ebisu, the god of happiness and good luck, Liu Hai, the god of coins, Lakshmi, goddess of prosperity, especially effective in helping women, star elders, god Ganesha), turtle, “wind music” with four pipes.

Do you crave fame and recognition? Then place in the southern part of your house - nine red candles, a crystal pyramid, an image of a phoenix, a horse figurine or an image of an eagle soaring above the ground.

The zone of love and personal harmony can be strengthened with the help of the following talismans: scarlet candles, peonies, images of mountains, various types of hearts, Chinese red lanterns, paired jade eggs, figurines of mandarin ducks, lotus flowers. For the central zone you can use bamboo, a globe, an image of peaches, figures of a crane, a turtle and the so-called circle of creation.

We activate the North-West by placing a horseshoe, a metal bell, images of saints or angels, and a yellow box in this zone.

Here, perhaps, are all the basic principles and concepts necessary to become familiar with the fascinating, ancient practice of Feng Shui, which allows you to bring goodness and harmony into your life.

Trigrams.

In Chinese philosophy, a trigram is a symbol representing the forces of the Universe, which constantly interact and form an endless cycle of movement from absolute Yin to absolute Yang, thereby creating all things in this world.

There are eight trigrams in total. Each of them has a name and has certain characteristics and properties. Any phenomenon or object can be correlated with one of the trigrams.

There is a Pre-Heavenly and Post-Heavenly sequence of trigrams.

The pre-heavenly order of trigrams means an ideal model of the world and personifies everything that happens in nature and in the Universe, that which is not subject to human control.

The post-celestial sequence describes and explains the processes occurring on Earth, in residential buildings, in time.

The interaction and interconnection of trigrams with each other and with everything that happens and exists on Earth is the basis for understanding Chinese metaphysics.

Operating principles of the “School of Eight Aspirations of Feng Shui”

The basic basis of the “school of eight aspirations of feng shui” is that, according to this theory, each room is divided into nine equal parts - energy zones. Eight of them correspond to the main geographical directions: north, northwest, northeast, south, southwest, southeast, east and the center itself. You can determine which sector a certain area of your home corresponds to using an ordinary tourist compass.

Each of the presented zones corresponds to certain energies. With the help of simple techniques and recommendations, these energy flows can be strengthened and activated in order to improve the quality of your life in the desired area.

First, let's figure out what each individual sector of the living space is responsible for.

  • The southern zone is responsible for the energies of fame, wealth, success and popularity.
  • The southeast is considered a zone of wealth, financial stability and material well-being.
  • Northern part – career, professional success, career growth.
  • The eastern sector is responsible for health, family well-being and harmonious relationships with relatives.
  • The North-West is responsible for travel, patronage, and help from mentors.
  • The southwest is a zone of love, romance, harmony in personal relationships between a man and a woman.
  • The central sector of space is responsible for health, beauty and longevity
  • The Northeast is considered the zone of wisdom and knowledge.

Yin and Yang.

Yin and Yang are two manifestations of qi energy, opposite in quality, that give birth and balance everything on earth.

Everything in the world is a manifestation of these two principles - the male, active Yang and the female, passive Yin. Yin and Yang cannot exist without each other. The absence of one of these principles means emptiness, union implies birth.

Each of these principles has certain qualities, which by their nature are directly opposite to each other. Light - darkness, Sun - Moon, fire - water, dryness - moisture, etc. Where Yang predominates, Yin is insufficient, and vice versa.

Our task is to balance and bring these two principles into harmony.

Lo-shu.

The Lo Shu magic square is the most important Feng Shui tool. It conceals many relationships and patterns with the surrounding space and time. Understanding these patterns provides the key to understanding the laws of the Universe.

The square is divided into 9 parts, each of which corresponds to a certain number from 1 to 9. The sum of the numbers in any direction, including along the diagonals, is 15. Even numbers are located at the corners of the square, odd numbers - in the center and in the remaining parts of the square. The magical properties of the square are still being explored and all its secrets have not been fully revealed.

Lo Shu is closely related to the Bagua symbol. Each square, except for the number, corresponds to a compass direction, trigram, element, etc.

The Lo Shu Square is used to divide living space into zones, to analyze the influence of Flying Stars, to draw up a natal chart of the house, and is used in numerology to predict upcoming events, characterize a person and develop recommendations for achieving success.

Bagua symbol.

The Bagua symbol is an octagon divided into 8 equal sectors emanating from the center.

Each sector corresponds to a certain compass direction, element, number, various types of energies, emotions, spheres of human life, colors, tastes, spiritual qualities, etc.

Understanding the symbolism of Bagua and using its connections with home, person and time allows you to influence the surrounding space and human destiny in general. (more details...)
