You can make an accessory with your own hands from any rubbish that you can find in the pantry: pencils, keys, sea pebbles. And for the country version, you can use painted tin cans and old cutlery. You can even use glass bottles. True, in this case the talisman can only be hung on the street.

Shell wind chimes

Light, summer wind chimes can be made from seashells. Necessary materials:

  • 7-9 large mollusk shells of various shapes;
  • silk thread;
  • 2 wooden branches, different in length;
  • scissors;
  • drill.

The creation process is very simple:

  1. We tie the smaller branch to the larger one so that there is a distance of 12-15 cm between them.
  2. Using a drill, we make neat holes in the shells. We create garlands of shells and beads, stringing them on a silk thread in any order.

  3. We hang the prepared threads with shells on the upper and lower sticks in two tiers. The top tier of garlands should not touch the bottom branch.
  4. Using a thread, we make a fastening by tying the upper branch on both sides.

For decoration, you can combine shells with pieces of ground glass, glass beads and small colored stones.

Bamboo wind melody

The bamboo talisman is a Chinese “classic of the genre.”

For the bamboo wind song, prepare:

  • bamboo rod;
  • twine;
  • a few feathers and a bunch of herbs;
  • 6 wooden sticks for the base;

On a flat surface, we arrange wooden sticks into a triangle, the corners of which are fastened with rope. We make a fastening from twine, tying the base on three sides.

We divide the bamboo rod into 5 even tubes. We make holes in the tubes using a drill, or a small diameter nail and a hammer. We stretch a rope through the holes, with which we attach the bamboo to the triangular base.

We hang several feathers and a bunch of herbs from the base. All that remains is to make a loop to attach the bamboo wind chime to the doorway.

Wind melody from the keys

In every home you can find many unnecessary, old keys. They are perfect as ringing elements of wind chimes - even a washer is not particularly needed, it is enough to place them at a short distance from each other.

Materials you will need:

  • keys of different shapes and sizes;
  • gold enamel (it’s more convenient to use a spray can);
  • leg-split;
  • small glass beads;
  • bells;
  • glue (strong);
  • craft wire;
  • a hoop made of any material with a diameter of 15-18 cm.

The master class is as follows:

  1. Paint the bells and keys with paint. It's better to do it in the air. Let it dry.
  2. We wrap the hoop with twine. For additional decoration, you can lightly wrap colored thread over the top. We make a fastening from it, tying a circle on four sides.

  3. We cut pieces of twine according to the number of keys, and each subsequent one should be a little longer to create a cascade. We wind one end slightly onto the base and secure it with glue.

  4. We string colored beads onto all the threads one by one, tying a key at the end.
  5. As an additional decoration, we string beads onto the wire and wrap it around the hoop.

  6. We tie bells to the center of the twine fastening on threads of equal length. Ready!

Now you know a lot about this Feng Shui talisman and can use it for the benefit of your family. But even if you don’t believe in its effect, or you don’t like Eastern culture, wind chimes can become a special accessory in your home or country house.

Origin story

Feng Shui air bells came to us from the Chinese tradition.
According to history, an ancient sage asked the spirit of the Wind to sing a beautiful melody for people. The spirit demanded an explanation from the sage as to why he needed this. In response, the sage said that air is the most important element. The wind agreed and placed his melody in the bamboo stem. The sage began to make talismans from this tree and distribute them to those who wished. The Chinese believe that the talisman has powerful protection and transforms negative energy flows into favorable ones. He can handle any energy that penetrates the home; he neutralizes negative energy and creates something useful for a person. The ancient sages had mastery and influenced life events with the help of various rituals. One of their talismans that has survived to this day is air bells.

In our country, bells became popular with the spread of the teachings of Feng Shui. Many people liked the “wind chime” accessory. It is hung on the doors of houses and cottages. Pleasant sound evokes good emotions and improves your state of mind.

The meaning of wind chimes in feng shui

The main meaning of wind music in Feng Shui is to recharge negative energy flows into positive ones and direct them into the house, reflecting the envious thoughts of ill-wishers, conspiracy and the evil eye. As in the case of the wish or money frog, there are several separate types of amulet, different in structure and material. Each action is aimed at certain areas of human life:

The main meaning of wind music is to transform the energy of the house, but there are also additional properties.

  1. “Birdsong” is a talisman made of eight metal tubes. Promotes career development and obtaining patrons with good connections. Wind chimes are activated when a good luck hieroglyph is applied to it. The talisman should be hung from the north-west side.
  2. Happy wind chime - there should be a bell between the tubes (in any quantity). The accessory is hung in the center of the largest room in the house (for example, on a chandelier). The melody produced by the talisman is similar to the ringing of a bell, which attracts happiness into the house.
  3. Psychological wind chime, made from natural material and decorated with colorful feathers, helps drive away depression, dissatisfaction with life, and get rid of stress. The talisman is placed near an open window or in a doorway.
  4. Wind chimes, which attract love, are decorated with hearts and stars. It is more appropriate to place such a talisman in the bedroom. If the owner is single, he/she gains good luck in love; if she/he has a couple, feelings become more tender.

Sometimes this decoration is hung in the garden on trees or in a gazebo to create a magical festive atmosphere.

How to make “Wind Music” yourself.

Of course, the easiest way is to buy a ready-made “wind chime”. But if you can make such a mobile yourself, for your desires, for your success and good luck, that would be even better. So let's look at several types of “wind chimes” that you can make yourself. The main element of the mobile should always be hollow tubes, and what and how many of them is up to you to choose, depending on your desires. But additional decorative elements are also important, which will also carry a semantic load, for example: paper money or hearts, feathers or glass fish, etc. 1) First of all, we will need metal tubes (diameter 1.5 - 2 cm), choose light metal , two flat round pieces (metal or wood) - this is for the base, thin cords or ropes, large beads (for decoration), a hacksaw for metal, a small file. So: first, let’s decide how big our “wind chime” will be. Depending on this, we cut metal tubes with a hacksaw. The most optimal ones will be the length of favorable imperial sizes from: 16.2 cm to 27 cm - from such tubes you will get a medium-sized “breeze” mobile; sizes from 37.5 cm to 43.2 cm are favorable for success in all matters, well-being, influx of money, abundance and happiness, but such tubes will make a large mobile and it is best to hang it in large rooms or at the entrance (from the outside ) or even on the street or on the balcony. Well, let's start assembling our mobile: We have decided on the length of the tubes, so cut the tubes to the required length with a hacksaw. Use a file to sharpen both ends of each tube so that there are no sharp, protruding, uneven edges. Using a drill with a thin drill, drill on one side of all the tubes, all the way back from the edge 2 - 2.5 cm; and also make a hole in the center in the small round piece, and drill as many holes in the center and around as many holes in the large one as you plan to hang the tubes. So let’s assemble our mobile: hang all the tubes on strings to a large round piece. Stretch the cord in the center, make a large loop at the top (the round piece is at the top) (you will use it to hang your structure). Tie knots above and below the round to secure. Then insert one or two beads, and also secure them on the cord with knots. Next, at the level of the middle of the tubes (or just below) attach a round piece, just below the tubes, attach a bead. And if you hang a small round piece (and it doesn’t have to be round) vertically at the bottom of the mobile, then you can write the desired Chinese character on it with paints, for example: for love - the character “mutual understanding”, “love”, “tenderness”; for wealth - the hieroglyph “money”, “abundance”, “wealth”, “prosperity”. That’s it, your “wind chime” is ready, hang it up and become successful, rich, happy. 2) If you don’t find a round piece, the entire structure can be mounted on a crosspiece. Take two sanded sticks, place one on top of the other, crosswise (you can use 4 or 6 sticks), and fasten them in the center in any way. Then you hang your straws and other decor on this cross. 3) Decorative pendants, in addition to tubes, can be very different and depend only on your taste and your dreams and desires. Here are examples: in the glory zone you can hang “breeches” with decor from horses (buy small plastic horses in a children’s store, paint them red with acrylic paints, attach small hooks to the chest of each horse, using them you will attach them to the mobile and hang it up), well, you understand that horses should, as it were, gallop upward, to glory. Using this principle, you can attach figurines of eagles or elephants (their trunks should be raised up). 4) For the wealth sector, on the waxing moon, we hang nine laminated bills (naturally fake: dollars, euros, rubles...), maybe coins, from our “wind chime”, hang a bell in the center. Keep your mobile in gold, red, green or purple tones. Done? Great, hang it, reciting any money mantra or affirmation, in the southeastern sector of your home or room and get rich in health! 5) I repeat: for success in love, pendants can be the following: plastic red or pink hearts, small doves (sold for decorating wedding cakes, etc.), figurines of glass angels or cupids, figurines of a pair of dolphins or mandarin ducks, a pair of storks or cranes, herons or swans. Nowadays there are a lot of such small figurines sold in stores, connect your intuition and imagination, create your own love mobile and hang it in the southwest of your apartment and love and romance will not keep you waiting long.

Wind Melody Features

You can make a melodic talisman with your own hands or purchase it at a home decor store. In any case, it would be useful to understand the meaning of the arrangement of elements:

  1. The parts make up a five-tier structure - the talisman recharges negative energy into positive energy, passing it through five natural elements: Earth, Water, Air, Fire, Metal.
  2. If the design has seven tiers, they symbolize the seven treasures of Buddhism and help the family in career growth and accumulation of wealth.
  3. Nine tiers are a talisman against instability in life, various problems and failures. Nine-tiered wind chimes attract health to the home and promote the development of a sense of nobility and spiritual strength.

Often the talisman is hung on the window. The length of such wind chimes is 15-20 cm. Also, when choosing dimensions, it is worth considering the harmonious combination with the size of the room and its furnishings.

Wind music is chosen not only by its meaning, but also by the possibility of its correct location - if the force of air vibration is not enough for the operation of all elements of the talisman, there will be no movement of energy in space.

Number of tubes

The number of tubes or bells is important.
According to Chinese culture, the number of hollow rods has different meanings:

  • According to the classics, wind chimes have five hollow tubes - this is the embodiment of Mother Earth, which is positive energy. They also embody prosperity in five zones - north, south, east, west and center;
  • there are amulets of six bells - this is a symbol of the hexagram, attracting Heavenly Luck and being the embodiment of the energy of Metal;
  • There are talismans with eight rods - the embodiment of wealth and prosperity. Also, the number “8” is sacred in Chinese astrology.

Depending on the purpose for which the wind chime will be used, choose your future talisman. For example, for the original meaning of Feng Shui - the transformation of negative energy into positive, a talisman with five tubes is ideal. The remaining two are more suitable for attracting fortune to the house.

Material

The talisman can be made from various materials, but it is best to focus on natural ones - wood, bamboo, clay, metal. Wind chimes often consist of metal, porcelain and glass parts.

In addition to classic bamboo or metal, there are also original options, for example, made of glass.

According to the rules of Feng Shui, each material corresponds to a certain part of the world:

  • metal – western, northern and northwestern direction. The talisman will attract positive energy;
  • wood, bamboo - south, east and southeast. It will preserve family comfort and help get rid of scandals, misunderstandings and disrespect in the family. For these purposes, Feng Shui also has a special talisman - mandarin ducks.
  • glass, clay and porcelain - northeast and southwest. They help solve problems in the area of interaction with other people: strengthen friendships and find new friends, acquire interesting connections, and for lonely people, meet a loved one.

There is also a theory of selecting material in accordance with the number of tubes, where their number determines the element. A talisman of 6-7 tubes symbolizes the Metal element, 3-4 bamboo rods symbolize Wood, and 5 or 8 ceramic musical links symbolize Earth.

Color

Color is important in all world cultures, especially when it comes to amulets. It’s the same in Chinese culture: the palette is selected in accordance with the place in the house or apartment chosen to place the talisman. Not only colors are important, but also their shades. An excellent option would be if the dominant colors are red and gold, but other combinations are possible.

Another way to make the wind

One cloud, moving, will not create the pressure difference that is needed for the movement of air masses. For this to happen, you need to move a lot of clouds and clouds. This is what we'll do. You have already understood that the heavenly fog cannot refuse obedience. In order for the whole sky to start moving, you need to create the necessary conditions.

To create wind, imagine that you have a powerful motor in your hands (this is just an image, you can come up with a sprayer or something else that is closer to you). You must command the clouds to fly in a certain direction, while releasing rays from your palms that determine the vector of movement. It turns out as if you are indicating the direction of the wind with your hand. Along with visualization, a special spell is cast:

“Zhi bur, fire te per bor!”

There is a translation, but it is better to use ancient words. They must be accompanied by the power of thought.

Usually it doesn't work out the first time. It is difficult to combine visualization, volitional effort and pronouncing the magic words of a spell. If these three things are not combined in a single impulse, then nothing will happen. Only the trinity in air magic leads to the desired effect.

Where to hang the talisman

The location of the talisman plays no less a role than the material and number of parts. According to Feng Shui, everything is oriented towards the directions of light, or Bagua zones:

  1. A talisman with 5-6 tubes should be hung between two doors (for example, the entrance from the street and the main living room). Thus, “Wind music will not allow negative energy to enter the part of the home where household members are most often located. And the constant movement of air guarantees the circulation of Qi energy in space.
  2. A structure made of metal tubes in any quantity will protect the wealth of the house if it is hung above the stairs - so that the river of money does not “flow” out of the house.
  3. A wind chime of six bells, located on the northwest side of the apartment, will help you gain stability and support from influential people.
  4. To attract love, you can make wind chimes from two porcelain or ceramic tubes and hang them in the love zone - in the southwest.
  5. To stimulate self-development, you need to pay attention to the northeast. Eight ceramic rods will set the owner to gain new knowledge and improve existing skills.
  6. To attract wealth, you will need a talisman with eight wooden pipes or 4 ringing bells. Another option is a homemade wind chime made from real coins. Placement should be in the wealth sector - in the southeast.
  7. The western side of the house is a zone of creativity and fertility. If your goal is to realize creative ideas or give birth to a child, a decoration made of 7 metal tubes will work well.
  8. To attract success and fame, use a wooden talisman of nine tubes in the south side of the house.
  9. The north side is a zone of self-realization in your favorite profession. The wind chime should consist of 6-7 rods made of metal.
  10. The East is a family zone. The sounds of wind chimes from three wooden sticks will reflect negative energy from the circle of household members. The talisman will help to establish relationships, as well as improve communication with people around you.

The talisman should be placed in accordance with the Bagua principle in the desired zone.
Most often, the talisman is used precisely to cleanse directly flowing energy - that is, passing through the entrance to the home. Therefore, it is hung above the front door - in such a place there is a constant movement of the breeze, and the talisman is constantly working.

The talisman should not be located near the place of sleeping, working or eating. If it is constantly located above a person’s head, then human energy will be suppressed. If it is not possible to place the wind chime in another place, hang it below head level.

What materials are used?

In the manufacture of this item, both natural and artificial materials can be used.

To realize certain desires, it is important to choose the right talisman material and place it in the appropriate part of the home:

  • to increase the flow of positive energy, it is necessary to choose a product made of metal, for example, copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel and even silver, and place it in the western, northwestern or northern part, where the elements of metal and water dominate;
  • To attract home comfort into your home and reduce the number of family quarrels, it is preferable to place this item made of wooden or bamboo sticks in the southern, southeastern or eastern part of the home;
  • Hanging a wind chime with glass, clay or porcelain tubes in the north-eastern or south-western part will help improve family life (attract a soul mate), communicate with friends, and also gain recognition.
