Magic pentacle (seal, star) of King Solomon: Meaning, power and features of wearing

How did the Seal of Solomon appear?

Solomon, the son of David, went down in history as the wisest, fairest, and most importantly, peaceful ruler.
For 40 years he did not start a single war. Ancient manuscripts mention a magical sign, thanks to which the king of the Jews acquired special knowledge, was able to command spirits and understand the language of animals. The creation of the Seal is shrouded in mystery: the best magicians and sages worked on it, or the king himself solved the riddle of existence, but one day a ring with the image of a six-pointed star appeared on Solomon’s finger.

The symbol of the Star of David appeared not only on the ring of King Solomon, but also on the shields of David’s soldiers. The image is called Magen David, which literally means “Shield of David.”

According to one legend, the king had an interest in science and was confident that a more developed civilization had previously existed. Solomon was looking for the key to the success of Atlantis, and found a way to control the elements. The star enclosed in a circle became a seal for 72 demons and their legions, whose power and knowledge were transferred to the ruler.

There were rumors among the people about genies imprisoned in jugs, and the kingdom of Israel was approaching the peak of its prosperity. Thus began Solomon's Golden Age.

Instructions for activating the talisman

To activate the amulet, you will need a yellow candle, aromatic oil (citrus or pine), and a wide container of water.

The ritual must be performed in a dark, enclosed room. It is important that the process cannot be seen by strangers. First, light a candle and drop some oil on it. Place the amulet in a container of water, holding it by the chain. It is important that it is completely immersed in liquid.

Close your eyes and imagine what you are striving for. This could be a signed contract, the amount in the account, a big house or a luxury car. Then imagine that you already own it. Take the talisman out of the water and apply it to your forehead. This completes the ritual. A charged amulet can be worn for about ten days, and then it will need to be cleaned.

What does it mean, to whom and how can a pentacle be worn?

There are several interpretations of the meaning of Solomon's seal.

  • Unity of the elements. The mystical symbol consists of two triangles, the vertices of which are directed in opposite directions. The figure pointing upward is responsible for the elements of fire and air, and the second contains the power of earth and water. The secret of harmony is the unification of all phenomena.
  • Unity of masculine and feminine principles. There are also two triangles: the top of the figure with masculine energy looks up, and down – with feminine energy. Strength and softness, the combination of flows of protection and creation gives rise to the integrity of being.
  • Pentacle of Solomon.
Another design option is a five-pointed star, a pentagram, which allows you to achieve the fulfillment of desires. The magical properties of the sign are enhanced by dots at the intersections of the lines. Biblical tales mention precious stones given to Solomon by the gods as a sign of blessing. The pentacle, reinforced with crystals, contains even greater energy.

Many people mistakenly consider Pentacle and Seal to be the names of the same sign.
It is not known for certain how many rays were depicted on the Ring of Solomon, but the classic version of the Seal is considered to be a star with six ends. A pentacle is a figure with five ascending points. The power of Solomon's seal is still used in esoteric rituals: people “charge” body jewelry with magical power or carry a memorable item with the image of a hexagram with them. A talisman hung above the entrance to a home attracts wealth to the house. By the way, we recently wrote about the best talismans for happiness and good luck.

[The Secret Figure of Solomon from the Lans Manuscript. 1202]

[The Secret Figure of Solomon from the Lans Manuscript. 1203]

Note from Mathers. This is the Secret Figure of Solomon. —It exists in only two manuscripts (Lansdowne 1202 and 1203). It is given by Eliphas Levi in his work “The Doctrine and Ritual of High Magic” and by Tycho Brahe in his “Calendarium Naturale Magicum”, but in both cases, without Hebrew words and letters. Probably because the distortions of illiterate scribes made them unrecognizable. After much work and study of the figure, I believe that the words in the "body" of the symbol refer to the Ten Sephiroth, arranged in the shape of the Tree of Life, with the Name of Solomon inscribed on the right and left, while the signs arranged in a circle are the twenty two letters of the Hebrew alphabet. So I restored them. It is in this form that this figure is shown on the frontispiece of the manuscript.

SATURN

First Pentacle of Saturn. “This Pentacle is of great value and is useful if it is necessary to terrify the Spirits. Therefore, as soon as it is shown to them, they obey and throw themselves on their knees on the ground before you can give them an order.

Figure from Mathers' edition

Figure from the Lans manuscript. 1202.

Note from Mathers. The Hebrew letters inside the square are the four great names of God, which are written in four letters: - IHVH

,
Yod
(Yod),
He
(He),
Vau
(Vau),
He
(He),
ADNI
,
Adonai
(Adonai),
IIAI
,
Yai
(Yiai) (this name has the same numerical value in Hebrew as the name
El
(EL)), and
AHIH
,
Eheieh
.
The Hebrew verse that surrounds it is taken from Psalm LXXI, 9 "The inhabitants of the desert will fall before him, and his enemies will lick the dust
.

Second Pentacle of Saturn. —This Pentacle is of great value against enemies, and is used mainly to suppress the pride of Spirits.

Figure from Mathers' edition

Figure from the Lans manuscript. 1202.

Mathers' note

. This is the famous square

is the most perfect form of double acrostic in existence, in so far as the order of the letters is agreed upon, it is mentioned several times in the accounts of medieval magic, and there are but a few points which indicate its origin in this Pentacle. It may be seen at once that it is the square of five, giving twenty-five letters, which, when added to the unity, give twenty-six, which is the numerical value of IHVH. The Hebrew verse that is written in a circle is taken from Psalm LXXI, 8 “He will possess from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth.”

.
This phrase likewise consists of twenty-five letters, and its full numerical value, including the final forms of the letters, with their numbers, being added to the Name Elohim
, is exactly equal to the full numerical value of the twenty-five letters in the Square.

Third Pentacle of Saturn. “It should be made within the Magic Circle, and it is good to use at night when invoking Spirits of the nature of Saturn.

Figure from Mathers' edition

Figure from the Lans manuscript. 1202.

Mathers' note

.
The signs at the ends of the rays of the Mystic Wheel are the Magic Signs of Saturn. In a circle are the names of the Angels: Omeliel
,
Anachiel
,
Arauchiah
and
Anazachia
, written in Hebrew.

Fourth Pentacle of Saturn. “This Pentacle serves primarily for experiments and operations of collapse, destruction and death. And when it is done correctly, it serves to [call] those Spirits who bring news when you call them from the South.

Mathers' note

.
The Hebrew words surrounding the triangle are from Deuteronomy VI, 4 “Hear, O Israel, IHVH ALHINV - IHVH AchD”
(“Hear Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one”).
The verse that is written in a circle is taken from Psalm CVIII, 18 “Let him be clothed with the curse like a robe, and let it enter like water into his bowels and like oil into his bones
.
In the center of the Pentacle is the secret letter Yod
.

Fifth Pentacle of Saturn. This Pentacle protects those who call upon the Spirits of Saturn at night, and dispels the Spirits guarding treasures.

Figure from Mathers' edition

Figure from Kings 288 manuscript.

Mathers' note

.
The Hebrew letters in the corners that form the extremities of the cross spell out the Name IHVH
.
The letters in the corners of the square are the name ALVH
,
Eloah
.
On the four sides of the Square are written the Names of the Angels: Arehanah
,
Rakhaniel
,
Roelhaiphar
and
Noaphiel
.
The phrase on the circle: “God is great, strong, terrible”
from Deuteronomy X, 17.

Sixth Pentacle of Saturn. In a circle on this Pentacle are Names that symbolize what should be here. The person you direct this against will become possessed by Demons.

Mathers' note

.
[This Pentacle] is formed from the Secret Signs of Saturn. Around it is written in Hebrew: "Designed to rule over evil, and let Satan stand at his right hand
.

The seventh and final Pentacle of Saturn. This Pentacle can serve to cause earthquakes, meaning that the power of each order of Angels that is invoked here is sufficient to make the entire Universe tremble.

Figure from Mathers' edition

Figure from the Lans manuscript. 1202.

Mathers' note

.
Within the Pentacle are the Names of the Nine Orders of Angels, six of them are given in ordinary Hebrew letters, the rest are written in the letters of the alphabet which is known as "Crossing the River" [This alphabet is a simplified form of liturgical Hebrew.
Used to write the names of angels when invoking them. The name goes back to the four rivers that flowed in Paradise - approx. translation.] . These are the Nine Ranks:

1. HAYOT HA-KADESH

(CHAIOTH HA-QADESCH), Holy Living Beings, 2.
AUPHANIM
, Wheels, 3.
ARALIM
, Thrones, 4.
CHASCHMALIM
, Shining Ones, 5.
SERAPHIM
, Fiery Ones, 6.
MELAKIM
(MELAKIM), Kings, 7.
ELOHIM
, Gods, 8.
BENI ELOHIM
, Sons of ELOHIM, 9.
KERUBIM
, Cherubim.

The verse is taken from Psalm XVII, 7 “The earth shook and was shaken, the foundations of the mountains trembled and moved, for [God] was angry.”

.

JUPITER

First Pentacle of Jupiter. It serves to evoke the Spirits of Jupiter, and especially those whose Names are written in the outer circle of the Pentacle, among them Parasiel

(Parasiel) - Lord and Master of Treasures, who teaches how to recognize the places where they are [hidden].

Figure from Mathers' edition

Figure from the Lans manuscript. 1202.

Mathers' note

.
This Pentacle is composed of the Secret Signs of Jupiter. Around it are written the Names of the Angels in Hebrew: Netoniel
,
Devachiah
,
Tzedeqiah
and
Parasiel
.

Second Pentacle of Jupiter. It serves to gain fame, honor, dignity, wealth and all kinds of benefits, together with great peace of mind, and also to discover Treasures and drive out the Spirits that guard them. It must be inscribed on virgin paper or parchment, with the feather of a swallow and the blood of a barn owl.

Figure from Mathers' edition

Mathers' note

.
In the center of the Hexagram are the letters of the Name AHIH
,
Eheieh
, in its upper and lower corners are the letters of the Name
AB
, Father, in the remaining corners are the letters of the Name
IHVH
.
I believe that the letters outside the Hexagrams at obtuse angles refer to the first two words of the verse from Psalm XI, 3 “Abundance and wealth are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever
.

Third Pentacle of Jupiter. He protects and patronizes those who call upon the Spirits. When they appear, show them this Pentacle and they will immediately obey.

(Bariel). It should be engraved on silver on the day and hour of Jupiter when he is in the sign of Cancer.

Figure from Lans. 1202.

Mathers' note

.
Above the Magical Symbol is the Name IH, Iah. Below it are the Names of the Angels Adoniel
and
Bariel
, the letters of the latter name surrounding a square divided into four parts.
In a circle - a verse from Psalm CXI, 3 “Abundance and wealth are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever
.

Fifth Pentacle of Jupiter. He is endowed with great power. It serves for confident vision. Jacob, armed with this Pentacle, contemplated a ladder that reached to heaven.

Figure from Mathers' edition

Figure from the Lans manuscript. 1202.

Mathers' note

.
The Hebrew letters inside the Pentacle are taken from the last five words of the verse, which are written in a circle, each with five letters. These letters are combined in a new way to form some Secret Names. The verse is taken from Ezekiel I, 1 “While I was among the exiles by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God [Elohim]
.
In my opinion, a verse should only consist of the last five words of that verse, and the anachronism of Jacob using the Pentacle with an entire sentence from the Book of Ezekiel would not occur .

Sixth Pentacle of Jupiter. It serves to protect against all earthly dangers, contemplating it every day reverently, repeat the verse that is written in a circle. "This way you will never die"

.

Mathers' note

.
In the center of the Pentacle are the Divine Names El

The letters in Hebrew, as well as those written in the Secret Alphabet, called the Heavenly, make up the Names of the Spirits. Around the Pentacle follows: “Instead of rain, he sent hail upon them, scorching fire on their land, and killed their grapes and fig trees”
from Psalm IV, 32-33.

The name IHVH is repeated twelve times, and here is a verse from Daniel IV, 34 “Thy kingdom is the kingdom of all ages, and thy dominion throughout all years

The words in the same signs on three sides around it are, in my opinion, taken from Genesis I, 1 "In the beginning God created (Elohim),"
etc., but the signs are greatly distorted in the manuscript.

[Mathers' note

. Here ends the Holy Pentacles, and in all of them, as far as I could, I have correctly restored the Hebrew letters and secret signs. I then gave almost every verse in Hebrew instead of Latin, so that the student of occultism would have no problem finding it in the Hebrew Bible if needed. Restoring the Hebrew letters inside the Pentacles was an extremely difficult job that took several years].

How to Wear the Seal of Solomon

A talisman with a hexagram should be used carefully.
Filled with the power of ancient spirits, the sign can become for an uninitiated person not a protection, but a cause of trouble. A seal made independently has great power. The star is painted or engraved on jewelry. It is important to create an amulet in a calm environment, saying your cherished desire out loud.

The day the amulet was created also matters:

  • on Monday it is easier to attract material wealth and success in career achievements. The Seal of Solomon is applied to silver items - rings, medallions;
  • Tuesday is the day of conspiracies to cure diseases and improve health. Iron jewelry and hairpins are suitable for the talisman;
  • The environment favors the development of the gift of foresight and wisdom. You can depict a star on platinum, silver or aluminum objects;
  • Thursday is suitable for revealing spirituality. The tin base will enhance the properties of the amulet;
  • On Friday, amulets are cast for people with creative aspirations. The Star of David applied to a copper product promotes the growth of imagination and self-confidence;
  • on Saturday you should not create a Seal, the amulet will not have power;
  • Sunday is suitable for determining life goals and gaining confidence. Gold should be chosen for amulets.

You can purchase a ready-made item with the image of the Seal of Solomon and speak to your goals.
The amulet is kept with oneself and hidden from prying eyes. If there are many goals and it is not possible to decide on one, the Shield of David is drawn on a sheet of cardboard and spoken, sealing the sign with melted wax. The resulting amulet “works” until the wish is fulfilled, after which it is burned and the next one is created.

The Seal of Solomon is worn to strengthen the spirit, get rid of bad habits and understand inner aspirations.

By the way, from us you can buy a bracelet with the Seal of Solomon or the Star of David made of silver or gold, cost from 800 rubles

Reviews

If a person has acquired the Pentacle of Solomon for himself, then he demands to be treated with respect; you cannot joke with him. You should use the talisman correctly, do not wish harm to other people, do not show it or tell it to anyone. In order to enhance the effect of the talisman, you need to take it out every day, hold it in your hands and pronounce your own desires again and again.

Important! You should not hope for the instant fulfillment of your own desires, because the effect of the talisman occurs over time. It is necessary to constantly show gratitude to the amulet for already fulfilled desires and goals.

The meaning of the symbol in Judaism

Solomon's reign ended with the division of the United Kingdom, but the Seal did not lose its power.
The first thing that comes to mind is the Jewish flag. The hexagram proudly displays on a white background, framed by blue stripes. In Judaism, the seal of Solomon has retained its true meaning of the harmony of being. Magen David symbolizes the beginning: it took the Lord 6 days to create the world - 6 peaks at the star on the Seal. The center of the figure represents the person himself.

The interpretation of triangles remains the same: masculine and feminine. Just as the Sun cannot exist without the Moon, so the world is impossible without the unity of opposing energies.

Seal of Solomon in Christianity

The six-pointed star is present not only in Jewish culture.
In the Middle Ages, the hexagram was featured on Christian amulets. With an identical outline, the meaning of the Star of David symbol has undergone changes: the idea of the creation of the world remained, but the emphasis was on God and His son. The lower ray of the star was considered the basis and remained hidden, referring to God, and the rest symbolized the days of the creation of the world. In general, the sign personified the Christian Church. If the interpretation of the six-pointed star had a common meaning with the Jewish faith, then the seven rays corresponded to angels or the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The eight-pointed star is the embodiment of the unity of the cross of Christ and the first letter of His name. Another name for such a symbol is the star of the Virgin Mary.

Twelve rays are equal to the number of apostles at the beginning of the Lord’s path, and ten are equal to those remaining after the renunciation. Christians also have a figure with four ends - a sign of the connection of a cross and a star.

Do not forget about the Star of Bethlehem, which marked the birthplace of Jesus - its outlines coincide with the symbol of the Star of David.

In modern Christianity, the attitude towards the Star of David has changed radically. Orthodox priests tend to view the 6 rays as evidence that the day of the Lord has not come. Also, 6 angles, 6 external sides and the same number of internal ones give a truly diabolical number - 666. In other words, the hexagram has acquired an anti-Christian meaning.

Seal of Solomon in Islam

The symbol left its mark on the history of the Muslim people.
The Star is woven into the lines of the Holy Book and is present on the walls of mosques. For example, in Egypt, images of not only a six-pointed figure, but with 4 and 8 rays were used. The sign of Solomon's seal remains in the ornaments on buildings in Morocco and Lebanon. The symbol takes part in a modern tradition - the annual covering of the black stone of the Kaaba. The silk blanket used in the ceremony features six-pointed stars.

The Star of David in Islam has retained the true meaning of the interaction of opposite principles leading to world balance. And now in Dagestan or Saudi Arabia there are houses with the seal of Solomon above the entrance. The meaning of Solomon's seal in magic

The history of the sign is permeated with mysticism from the very beginning. Solomon, seeking to gain secret knowledge, summoned 72 ancient spirits and bound them with a Seal. Methods of controlling demons, spells and secrets of pacifying the power of otherworldly creatures are collected in the Goetia - the First Book of the Lemegeton. According to legend, magical rituals were invented and used by the king himself.

The Key of Solomon is a black magic grimoire. The National Library of Great Britain contains manuscripts from the 13th century, these are the first interpretations of the Keys. Later they corresponded several times. The same library contains 18th-century manuscripts written by MacGregor Mathers, a follower of the occult and founder of the Order of the Golden Dawn.

Magic has not disappeared from the modern world either. A decoding of magical rituals using the Seal of Solomon can be found in the book by Robert Stone. Love spells, conspiracies to attract money and good luck in your career - the symbol of a six-pointed star is used everywhere.

Magic also includes amulets with images of intertwined triangles. Esotericism assigns a serious role to the knowledge obtained from the grimoire of the Great King.

The meaning of the tattoo with the seal of Solomon

A six-pointed star applied to the skin has the same meaning as amulets in the form of jewelry.
A seal is evidence of a contract between a person and spirits for protection. Often the Shield of David is worn by people whose professions involve danger: firefighters, miners, rescuers. A tattoo depicting two triangles helps to achieve peace of mind, opens energy channels of wealth and well-being, and allows you to hear and understand the world around you. Intellectual abilities develop, and the ability to make non-standard decisions appears.

In order for the drawing to gain strength, the Seal is applied during the waxing Moon. The effect will be stronger if the procedure is performed on the appropriate day of the week. As with material talismans, each day strengthens a special energy.

The Shield of David is a permanent energy storage device. The chest talisman is easy to remove, but it is impossible to neutralize the pattern on the skin. If you have any doubts about your own abilities, you should start with a temporary tattoo and apply the Seal with henna. This method is suitable for achieving several goals - as with cardboard amulets.

The secrets of Solomon's seal still remain unsolved. It was possible to decipher a small part of the meaning of the Star of David symbol. A magical sign works on subtle energy flows and is capable of changing not only the life of an individual, but also influencing the processes of the universe.

Rite of purification of Solomon's amulet

There are several ways to remove negativity from an amulet:

  1. Rinse the decoration under running water and place it on the windowsill for exactly one day. During the day it should receive sunlight, at night - moonlight.
  2. Go out of town and find a river or stream with a strong current. Immerse the amulet in water, holding it by the thread or chain, for three minutes. At this time, you need to imagine how water washes away all the negativity from the amulet.
  3. Immerse the amulet in a container with salt or very salty water for three hours. Then take it out and wipe it with a clean towel. Used salt must be thrown away and water must be poured down the drain.
  4. Bury the amulet in the ground to a shallow depth. You should not use pots with house plants for this, as they can absorb negative energy. After half an hour, you need to take out the product and rinse it with running water.
  5. Make Solomon's seal three times over a lit candle, and then fumigate it with incense on both sides.

At the same time, you definitely need to think about something good and imagine what tasks the amulet will help you complete.
